Our Patient Participation Group, or PPG for short, is run by volunteer patients & our practice manager to help strengthen the relationship between the practice & you, our patients. We meet approximately once every 3 months at the surgery.
Our purpose is to:
- Be a critical friend to the surgery
- Advise the surgery on the patient perspective
- Provide an insight into the quality of services
- Encourage patients to take greater responsibility for their own and their family’s health
- Research the views of those who use the practice
- Organise health promotion events
- Communicate with patients
We are keen to ensure that our PPG is representative of our community and are therefore keen to hear from a wide range of people including young people, workers, and retirees, people with long-term conditions and people from diverse ethnic groups.
The PPG is not a complaints forum, but the group does welcome constructive ideas to be able to achieve improvement of the service provided by the practice.
If you would like to know more, or want to get involved, speak to someone on reception, or contact the PPG Chairperson: bmcppg@yahoo.com for more information.
