Telephone Advice and 'call barring'
If you need advice about a medical problem, please ring before 10:30am and leave your name and number. A Clinician will call you back once to offer advice. Please remember, if you have 'call barring' on your own telephone we will be unable to ring you back.
From 08.00am until 10:30am, patients may book a telephone consultation for same-day advice on an immediate medical problem. Ring reception and leave your name and telephone number (at home, mobile or at work) where you will be until 1pm and you will be added to the consultation list. If you are not available when the doctor calls you, we will be unable to ring you back so please make sure you can access and answer the phone at all times that morning.
Telephone advice is often an effective way of solving a problem other than actually seeing a doctor.
